Tasmania Golf Club’s Jan Cripps and Carol
Field claimed the State Bronze Stableford event on Monday.
Cripps and Field returned 39 and 36
stableford points respectively to win the event hosted by the Riverside Golf
Club.
Kath Dilger’s 33 points paired with Helen
Woods 32 assured second place for the Royal Hobart Golf Club.
The best score for the day went to George
Town’s Joan Johns with 39 points on a count back from Marge Grimsey from the
Huon Valley Golf Club.
Event Information
Member clubs are to set
aside a qualifying day on their calendar for players on handicaps of 27-45.
The best two stableford
scores at the qualifying event will represent their club in the State Final
at the Riverside Golf Club on Monday 10 November, 2008.
Club representatives
details and entry fees are to be sent to Golf Tasmania at least
one (1) month prior to the
State Final.
Any qualifier who subsequently reduces her
handicap to 26 or less is eligible to compete in the State Final on her
current handicap.
Should the qualifiers be unable to play in the
State Final, a club may send the player(s) with the next best score(s).
The club with the best
aggregate score at the State Final will hold the Bronze Stableford shield
for one (1) year.
Prizes will also be
awarded to the runners-up and best individual scores.
