JIN JEONG WINS OPEN
‘The
TOTE’ Tasmanian Open Golf Championship has gone down to the wire with the
title being decided in a sudden-death play-off.
Victoria’s Rory Bourke and Jin Jeong each finished the 72-hole event with
seven-under-par totals of 277.
The pair
proceeded to a sudden-death situation with Jeong emerging victorious with a
birdie on the fourth hole of the play-off.
Fellow
Victorian and early tournament leader Kieran Pratt placed third on 278 (-6).

ALBINSKI GOES BACK-TO-BACK
Stefan Albinski from New
South Wales has gone back-to-back claiming this year’s Tasmanian Men's
Senior Amateur Championship by five strokes.
Albinski carded rounds of
71, 74 and 71, a total of 216 (+3) to defeat nearest rival Peter King from
Queensland on 221 (+8).

DE JONG APPOINTED
Golf
Australia is pleased to advise that Jo De Jong has been appointed as a
consultant at Golf Australia for the next three months to fill the role of
Commercial Director.
De Jong
has over 16 years experience in the marketing/commercial area and has worked
for PWC, Deloitte and NEC. She has also already provided services to Golf
Australia in the commercial area and successfully ran the corporate
hospitality program at the 2009 Australian Open.
DeJong
has enormous experience in golf administration and marketing, including
running the successful business network for women, Women in Business and
Golf.
De Jong
is a current Board member of the ALPG and is a very strong golfer at the
Metropolitan Golf Club.

2010 AMATEUR FORMS RELEASED
