2008 Tasmanian Men's Senior Amateur Championship

Mowbray Golf Club’s Michael Leedham easily won
his third straight Tasmanian Senior Amateur title last week.
Leedham shot rounds of 72, 70 and 74 at his
home course Mowbray to win the Australian Senior Order of Merit event with a
54 hole total of three-over 216.
Rick Oliver (Young Golf Club, NSW) was second
with 69, 75 and 76 four strokes behind Leedham.
Queensland’s Vern Scott and Riverside Golf
Club’s Duncan Grant tied for third place on 226.
The 54-hole net championship went to South
Australian Alan Snowdon with scores of 66, 68 and 75, a total of 209.
The Victor Harbour Golf Club member won the
handicap championship by five strokes from Vern Scott on 214.
Riverside Golf Club’s Richard Cawley, Duncan
Grant and Ron Patmore took out the teams event with an aggregate total of
421.
Tasmania Golf Club’s Bill
Wellington combined with Vern Scott and Sydneysider Denis Dale to capture
second with 424.
