VICTORIA'S BRYDEN MACPHERSON WINS THE 2008
TRUE VALUE HARDWARE TAMAR VALLEY JUNIOR CUP
Junior Masters champion Bryden MacPherson, of
Victoria, has pocketed Tasmania’s second Australian Boys’ Order of Merit
event the 2008 True Value Hardware Exeter Tamar Valley Junior Cup.
MacPherson ran away with the tournament, held
last Wednesday and Thursday at the Greens Beach Golf Club, with stunning
rounds of 70, 66, 69 and 72.
The Peninsula Country Golf Club member’s 72
hole eleven under par total of 277 easily accounted for second place-getter
Ryan Peake (Lakelands Country Club, WA).
Peake, 14, led early on with rounds of 66 and
68, but could only manage 77 and 71 on the second day, giving him a six
under total of 282.
Third place went to fellow WA golfer Aidan Bae,
who carded 69, 69, 72 and 73.
Leading Tasmanian was Jason Bennett
(Launceston) with rounds of 77, 75, 79 and 75.
